Welcome to My Home!
March 7, 2008 4:36 pm For The PreSchool Mama, Odds & EndsHi, and welcome to all who’ve dropped by from 5 Minutes for Mom!
I am Shabana, and I am a 35 year old WAHM. I have a fairly humdrum kind of existence with my husband and our wonderful seven year old boy, and I like it that way. I love to read, write (I am a freelance writer when I am not blogging), and watch Johnny Depp movies.
The PreSchool Mama (which is where you are right now) is a labor of love that I began in December of last year. I used to be a Montessori preschool teacher, and blogging seemed like the perfect way to share what I’ve learned with other moms, and educate myself further in the process.
If you have toddlers or preschoolers, I hope you’ll look around the site, and find something that you could use with your child. Check out the Best of PreSchool Mama page for standalone articles that are informative and useful.
If you don’t have preschoolers, well, stay a while anyway, and share some of your wisdom with me!
It wouldn’t be much of a party without a few guffaws, so before you leave, here’s something to make you smile.
Enjoy!

Hi Shabana,
It’s nice to meet you - working in a preschool environment is challenging and I give you lots of credit - my husband and I found those pics on You Tube the other day and it’s STILL funny.
Thanks for having me and enjoy the rest of your week!

The last picture, “Dunno What Happened..” is what I’ve seen regularly from my little toddlers. I’m loving the Blog Party! Having visited you often, I love all your suggestions and ways to work with children. My toddlers are going to love to play doctor (from your earlier post), I can’t wait to role play with them.
Have fun partying. I’m having a blast!!!

I used to teach preschool as well (though not montesorri) and find that blogging a few activities for kids here and there is a great way to keep that part of my brain active!
Happy Blog party!

I do some freelance writing, too, and work as an editor for a small business publishing company.
Great party! Hope you’ll stop by mine. I have some party favors (online shopping discounts) and a great dip recipe.

Hi, I’m loving the site so far. My nearly two year old goes to a Montessori school two mornings a week so I’d love to be able to do stuff with him to back up their way of teaching.
I’ve read a few of your articles and they look great. However I’d like a few more aimed at my sons age group - or a way of telling which age group they are for.
