Plan a Tea Party With Your PreSchooler
March 10, 2008 8:11 pm Games and Activities, Learning Fun
There are opportunities to learn in the most popular games preschoolers play. All little girls love a tea party, and because all kids love role playing so much, your little boy will be ready to host one too! Give your preschooler some practice at entertaining on her own, by helping her host a tea party for her dolls and teddy bears.
What this teaches her: This game is ideal for teaching her to set a table on her own, and gives her good practice using sorting skills to sort out forks, spoons, cup and saucers for each guest. It also helps her learn the importance of organization and the value of planning ahead.

I LOVE THIS!! This is one of those “now why haven’t I thought of that?” ideas. My daughter and I went to a tea party place and she loved it, I’m sure she would even get so much more out of it by ‘hosting’.

Fabulous idea! We actually gave a small china tea set to a friend for a birthday present on the weekend. We do not have anything planned for tomorrow so I think we will do this. Thanks for the great idea.

What a fun blog! My daughter is only 9.5 months old, so you had better still be blogging in another year or two
I can’t wait to enjoy some of these great activities with her!
Come visit my party this week if you get a moment, it’s nice meeting you!

My 5 yo son often does this when his friend comes over (she’s a girly girl). He dresses up as Superman, and she uses one of my daughter’s costumes and they have a lovely time.
